Inkstone follows the oldest way of marbling: ink floated on water and drawn into spirals with a single stroke. Fine dark lines coil and unwind across the white ground, tightening into swirls in some places and stretching long in others.
Everything here is line rather than wash, which is what separates it from a softer marble. The pattern stays crisp up close and settles into a soft grey from a distance.
Working in charcoal and white alone keeps it timeless rather than seasonal. A plain white border finishes the edges, and it pairs cleanly with black, white, denim and anything in between.
