Double Layer is two pieces in one. Underneath is a fitted cotton short that reaches the knee, and over it sits a panel stitched in at the waist that falls to the top of the thigh, covering the line where a short would otherwise show through.
That panel is the point. It hides the hem, stops anything defining at the hip, and gives a second layer exactly where you want one, so a light dress or a fine skirt can be worn without thinking about what is underneath.
The waistband is wide ribbed cotton rather than elastic, so it lies flat and stays comfortable through a long day. The cotton is soft, matte and breathable, and the hems are finished with a clean stitched band.
