Jel Scarf and Bonnet Set - Black

Jel comes as a set: the scarf and a bonnet cut from the same cloth in the same dye lot.

The fabric is a soft knit with a very fine slub running through it, which is what keeps it completely matte and gives a single shade its depth. It has weight without being heavy, so it falls in long parallel folds that hold their shape down past the chest rather than collapsing. It grips against itself, so a wrap holds without a pin, and the knit is close to opaque.

The bonnet is knitted in the round with no seam at the crown. That matters more than it sounds: a seamed bonnet leaves a raised line that prints through a light scarf and presses against the head all day. There is nothing here to print through. It ties at the back, so you set the tension yourself, and because it is the same fabric in the same shade, the edge at the hairline disappears instead of showing as a different line of colour.

Black is the one most people take first. In a set the matching bonnet is what keeps the hairline from showing as a different line of colour.
