Opaline takes its name from the stone that holds a whole spectrum of soft colour inside something almost white. Pink, lemon, aqua and lilac pour through each other in fine marbled currents, meeting without ever fully mixing.
Because the colours stay pale, the effect is light rather than loud. The print opens out into near white in places and gathers into deeper colour in others, so it shifts as the fabric folds and no two drapes look alike.
A plain white border frames it and keeps the edges quiet against the face. It sits beautifully over white and cream, and picks up whichever colour you wear with it.
