Rosewater Malaysian Khimar

Rosewater is painted wet, the way watercolour behaves when the paper is already damp. The roses spiral open in dusty blue and soft taupe with no outline anywhere, their edges bleeding into the white ground so the flowers look like they are still settling.

The scale is generous, which keeps the print looking painted rather than patterned. Against the white ground it stays soft even up close, so this reads as romantic rather than busy.

A plain white border frames it and keeps the edges clean against the face. It sits beautifully with white, cream and denim, and picks up any soft blue in what you are wearing.
